Led by singer and songwriter Nick Corbin, New Street Adventure released two albums on the legendary Acid Jazz Records, producing soul-fuelled tunes cut with a distinctly British edge that saw NSA hailed by The Guardian’s Tim Jonze as having “an innate understanding of classic songwriting”.
The band toured the UK and Europe several times, headlining the likes of London's Jazz Cafe and 100 Club, Hamburg's Mojo Club and sharing the bill with the likes of Lee Fields & The Expressions, The Milk, Leroy Hutson and The Rifles, before separating in early 2018.
New Street Adventure will return in Autumn 2024 with a 14-date tour, which will celebrate 10 years since the release of the band’s debut album ‘No Hard Feelings’. Several dates are alongside UK soul favourites Stone Foundation.
Of the forthcoming tour Nick says - “People are always telling me how much they miss New Street Adventure and I’ve realised I do too! The 10 year anniversary of our first album feels like as good a time as any to get out and play those songs live again and to thank our wonderful fans for the support they've shown us over the years!”
We’re hugely excited to announce the return of New Street Adventure, with a limited edition 7” on Acid Jazz Records and a UK tour this Autumn. ‘The Big AC’ - a cornerstone of the New Street sound - will be reissued, with the first-time vinyl release of the original version, produced by the brilliant late Noel McKoy, on the reverse side. It will be housed in a beautiful version of the new AJ house bag, in colours echoing the ‘No Hard Feelings’ sleeve, and will be limited to 500 copies.
